Where caregivers usually find loose ends

A calm way to look for subscriptions, accounts, bills, memberships, and other unfinished household items.

For planning only.CareKeeper helps organize notes and printable pages. It does not replace medical, legal, tax, insurance, benefits, or emergency advice.

Look where money and mail already flow

Loose ends often reveal themselves through bank statements, credit card statements, email, paper mail, phone notifications, and auto-pay notices.

The goal is not to solve every account immediately. The first pass is to find what exists and who should handle it.

Make a simple account inventory

Use one page with the account name, where the notice was found, whether it appears recurring, and who is following up.

  • Utilities, phone, internet, and streaming services
  • Insurance policies and medical bills
  • Memberships, clubs, and donations
  • Medication, supply, or delivery subscriptions
  • Storage units, parking, subscriptions, and apps

Do not guess at authority

Companies and agencies have their own rules for who can close an account or receive information. USAGov's death certificate guidance is a useful reminder to ask what documentation each organization requires instead of assuming.

Keep proof of each completed step

Write down confirmation numbers, dates, and the name of anyone you spoke with. Save final bills or closure confirmations with the rest of the paperwork.
